Hello. I’m a Certified Sex Addiction Specialist (CSAT-S) and the Clinical Director of Foundry Clinical Group. My specialization is treating sex and love addiction—helping sex addicts and their partners complete the recovery and repair process. At Foundry, I work with both individuals and couples. I am also a primary therapist and lecturer for the 5-Day IOP at Foundry (Intensive Outpatient Program) for sex addiction.
My therapeutic style is engaging and directive. Out therapy focus on practical solutions and direct experimentation with new ways of living, behaving, and communicating. In addition to initial crisis-management and stabilization, sex addiction treatment must also create a safe space for unexplored emotions and unexpressed pain.
Jenner Bishop, LMFT, CSAT-S began her clinical work in sex addiction in 2004. After completing a 20-month internship at the Sexual Recovery Institute in Los Angeles, Ms. Bishop helped launch the Center For Healthy Sex, serving as senior staff clinician and a primary therapist for the CHS Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Her clinical mentors have been leading experts in the field of sex addiction treatment, including Robert Weiss, LCSW, Omar Minwalla, Ph.D, and Alexandra Katehakis, LMFT.
Ms. Bishop is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Supervisor (CSAT-S) through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP); she provides training and supervision to clinicians pursuing CSAT certification. In 2007, she received her CSAT training in Hattiesburg, Mississippi from Dr. Patrick Carnes and Dr. Stephanie Carnes.
From 2009-2010, Ms. Bishop was a member of Dr. Susan Regas’ small group training in Differentiation-Based Couples Therapy, receiving case consultation and advanced supervision. In 2006, Ms. Bishop participated in “Integrating Sex and Marital Therapy” training with Dr. David Schnarch, author of “Passionate Marriage” and “Constructing The Sexual Crucible.”
Jenner Bishop has lectured for Kaiser Permanente EAP, Cedars Sinai Addiction Professionals Roundtable, Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH), California Coalition on Sexual Offending (CCOSO), International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), Phillips Graduate Institute (Psy.D.
